Theres been a lot happening since my last
newsletter. David and I celebrated our 15th anniversary on July 3rd.
We got all dolled up and went to a restaurant on the ocean for a
very fine dinner. It was a beautiful evening and there was much to
see on the ocean and surrounding beach. Amazing how quickly time
goes. Seems like yesterday we were married on that quite cool and
very soggy day in July. Overall I have to say it has been a pretty
good 15 years. Weve had a few hills to climb as do most
relationships and weve had many adventures that I dont think we
would have had, had we been on our own. We are looking forward to
the next 15.

Last month I told you of the fund-raising dinner David & I were
invited to participate in with a group of others. The dinner was wonderful
and we had the pleasure of having the bike designer & founder of this
program at the dinner. This man has a spirit as big as the world and a heart
even bigger.

I am going to start this section of the newsletter with a story of
the law of attraction and the power of intention. The story has to
do with two clients of mine. A client and his wife want to start a
project in the Comox Valley, which puts kids with special needs
together with bikes they can ride. They are asking 35 couples to
each donate $1000 towards the founding of this project. David and I
were one of the couples asked. We loved the idea. And $1000 is a lot
of money. At the end of that week I emailed my client that David and I
were in for the project. Now, to come up with the $1000.

As I mentioned in 'A Note from Linda', I have
had lasik eye surgery since writing our last newsletter. I love the
results. I love walking in the rain without glasses that get wet. I love
being able to fall asleep without having to take my contacts out. I love
that my eyes dont dry up or have a piece of dust in my eye when I wear my
contacts. I do have to put teardrops in my eyes although it is less and less
as time goes on.

It has been a very busy summer although not really sure of where it has
gone. Oh yes, now I am remembering. There was lots of travel again,
particularly in July. I flew back to Ontario for a sisters re-union at our
sister Paulas and we had a great time. Lots of laughs, reminiscing,
fabulous food and lots of it and perfect summer weather...

April was a big birthday month. Our grandson Cohen turned one year old on
April 6th. There was a big party in the backyard of Tanias parents home and
we had a gang of Brad, Tania & Cohens friends and their kids join us for
the celebration. It was a blast. I think there were a total of 15 kids who
ranged from four months old to one year, plus about six others who were a
bit older. The little ones and their parents played for two hours in the
yard with but a peep from any one of the kids. The grandparents looked after
the BBQ and food and the little ones when it was time for the moms & dads to
eat.(read

March was a good month with much to celebrate. For
Davids birthday we went to Victoria to visit our
grandson Cohen and his mom and dad and celebrated with a yummy dinner
and an awesome Chocolate cake. Heres a picture of grandpa teaching
Cohen how to blow out a candle in preparation for his first birthday
April 6th.

I got a lot packed into the short month of February.
I started the month off with a Chamber Board retreat at the
Kingfisher
Resort and Spa, which included an overnight in a suite looking out
to the ocean. It was a wild and stormy night with winds howling,
waves crashing and power outages. I sat for a while on the deck
outside my room just watching and listening and remembering my
friend Annemarie who died 14 months ago. She would have loved a
night like this. It was truly perfect.

time to a beautiful baby boy named Cohen Gregory Muir. He was born on

is so very beautiful and alert and curious. I've enclosed photos for all
of you to see. Cohen is 4 days old in these pics. He amazes me.

The month of March started off with me being sick with a cold/flu/laryngitis for a week, feeling better, then sick again for another few days. I am good now. Think there was just too much going on in February with all the house stuff; buying, building and selling, plus my work.
